Manchester United's players got the preseason workout they were looking for Saturday in a 1-1 draw with South Africa's Kaizer Chiefs.
The Chiefs scored first in the friendly match at Newlands Stadium when Ghanaian defender Jonathan Quartey converted a 38th-minute penalty kick after Gary Neville fouled Siphiwe Tshabalala.
United equalized in the 60th when midfielder Chris Eagles headed home a cross from Carlos Tevez. Chiefs' goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune was wrongfooted as the ball took a deflection off captain Jimmy Tau.
