Hamburg beat Tony Mowbray's side 1-0 at Parkhead last week with Swedish striker Marcus Berg scoring the winner in the 63rd minute. The young striker, signed in July 2009 from Dutch side Groningen has become an essential part of HSV's attack after injuries to Mladen Petric and Jose Paolo Guerrero.
It is make or break time for Celtic, but they go into this game high on morale after beating Kilmarnock 3-0 on Saturday. Their opponents, meanwhile, were beaten 3-2 by Borussia Monchengladbach in the Bundesliga. Celtic play host to Hapoel Tel Aviv on Match Day 5, and round off their engagements against Rapid Vienna in Austria.
