The Gunners were booed from the pitch at the Emirates last weekend when they were held to a draw by visiting Fulham. If Arsenal are unable to pick up the points against WBA midweek those boos will become deafening. You can watch the West Brom vs Arsenal live match through our partner network Live Sport. Arsenal are in a lean spell and despite being unbeaten in 16 games have 4 successive draws in recent weeks. Arsenal impressed last week in the Champions League but they have not found it possible to transfer such performances to the English Premier League. They will not get a better chance to regain their composure than when they face bottom of the league West Brom.
West Brom suffered another defeat at the weekend and now face the tough task of hosting a jaded Arsenal side looking to bounce back after 4 draws. They are currently favourites to be relegated first this season and it is unlikely that this particular opinion will change after this game.
With defender Joleon Lescott left on the bench due to him being only a single caution away from missing the FA Cup quarter final against Middlesbrough, it was a patched up Toffees side that entertained bottom-placed West Bromwich Albion at Goodison Park.
The home team started much the better and although the Baggies threatened on occasions, it seemed only a matter of time before Everton struck. Tim Cahill did have the ball in the net but it was disallowed for a push but it wasn’t long before he made amends. A free kick from the Everton left saw the West Brom defence in disarray and with Scott Carson flailing in thin air, Cahill met the ball first to head into an empty net.
Tony Mowbray’s side offered a lot more after half time and only a miraculous goal line clearance from Phil Jagielka denied Luke Moore an equaliser. Louis Saha was introduced and took less than ten minutes to double Everton’s lead, turning smartly before smashing a left foot shot past Carson. West Brom had several opportunities in the closing minutes but always found the wrong side of the post. They remain rooted to the bottom whilst Everton consolidate sixth.
Everton host West Brom this weekend at Goodison Park. They go into the match as firm favourites sitting steady in 6th position in the English Premier League. In contrast the Baggies are favourites to be the first team to be officially relegated this season despite improving their form in past weeks.
Everton's squad is depleted through a number of injuries but their barebones starting 11 should still be more than a match for West Brom. Historically WBA have performed well against the Toffees but with 3 defeats out of the last 4 games current form does not favour the travelling team.

Bottom-of-the-table West Bromwich Albion travelled to Craven Cottage aware that a win could lift them off the bottom of the table.
Roy Hodgson has been concerned recently about his sides lack of success in front of goal. They set about trying to ease his concerns as early as the fourth minute when Danny Murphy’s free-kick beat the wall but not keeper Scott Carson’s finger tips nor the post onto which he tipped the shot. Carson was much the busier keeper and saves from Simon Davies and Dickson Etuhu plus a scrambled clearance from a Leon Barnett back-pass were all that kept West Brom level. Baggies boss Tony Mowbray must have thought his sides luck was changing as, when Fulham beat Carson, they couldn’t get past the woodwork hitting it twice in quick succession.
Bobby Zamora has not scored since September and his draught looked set to continue after failing miserably from only 12 yards out. However, redemption came on the hour as he was perfectly placed to tap in following Andrew Johnson’s header. Zamora nearly added a second shortly afterwards but again was denied by Carson. However, Johnson was on hand to hit home the rebound. Fulham played out the remainder of the ninety minutes in comparative ease and even a late scare, when Bednar was upended in the area, proved unfounded when the substitute picked himself up only for Mark Schwarzer to save the resulting penalty kick.
One of 3 Premiership games on Sunday. Fulham host bottom of the league West Brom in an early afternoon kickoff. Fulham were beaten by Man U midweek so will be looking to find their footing when the Baggies come to town. The Cottagers slipped into the bottom half of the table due to results on Saturday but maintain 2 games in hand over most teams in the league.
West Brom seemed to have upped their game in recent weeks but still find themselves rooted to the bottom of the table. They had another fruitless exploit against Newcastle losing out 3-2 in their last encounter. Tony Mowbray needs to find some magic if the Baggies are to avoid the drop this season.

First-half goals from Didier Drogba and Frank Lampard gave Chelsea their first home league win in four games.

It was the Ivorian's second goal of the season and his first in the Barclays Premier League this term.
Robbie Keane gave Rafael Benitez his 150th victory as Liverpool boss as the Anfield club moved back to the top of the Premier League.
Keane, who had managed to score only twice previously since his summer move from Tottenham - both in the Champions League - finally broke his league duck when he drove home from a Steven Gerrard pass in the 34th minute.
Keane's second came when he rounded Scott Carson a couple of minutes before the break and Alvaro Arbeloa added the gloss in injury time.

West Brom manager Tony Mowbray will make a late decision on whether to give a debut to £3.2million summer signing Gianni Zuiverloon against Everton at The Hawthorns.
The former Heerenveen defender has been suffering from jet lag since returning from Olympic Games action with Holland earlier this week.
Arsenal began their Premier League campaign with a 1-0 win at home to West Bromwich Albion, but after a pulsating start it was hardly vintage. Samir Nasri needed less than four minutes to score on his debut as the Gunners burst out of the blocks. But they barely tested Scott Carson after the break, although Tony Mowbray's side rarely threatened themselves
