Sunderland vs Chelsea Live
Chelsea were lucky to claim the points on Saturday against Hull in their season opener at Stamford Bridge. Ancelotti's Blues now travel to face Sunderland on Tuesday evening hoping for a more comfortable performance rather than relying on injury time flukes.
For their part Sunderland got off to a good start at the Reebok. A goal from new signing Darren Bent starts bringing some justification for his price tag and claimed all 3 points for the Black Cats. You can catch the full 90 minutes of this game live and online through our partner network.

Chelsea vs Wigan Highlights Video

Chelsea 2 - 1 Wigan Athletic

The second half didn’t produce the expected action but Frank Lampard nearly followed up his mid-week praise of Didier Drogba by setting him up for their second but Titus Bramble cleared spectacularly after Drogba had beaten Kirkland. Zaki curled a shot wide of the post before Wigan shocked Chelsea when Maynor Figueroa’s cross was turned past Cech by an unmarked Olivier Kapo at the far post. It looked like the Blues had thrown it away but Michael ballack’s flick on from a free-kick was met by Lampard and he headed over Kirkland to snatch all three points.
Chelsea vs Wigan Live

Wigan were flying high in the Premiership under the tutelage of Steve Bruce. However, with only 1 goal in 6 games and without a win since mid January it is not the best time for the Latics to be visiting a revitalised Chelsea side.
Chelsea put one past Juve midweek to give them a crucial buffer to take into the away leg of their Champions League tie. It does however, give Wigan a few days extra rest over the London side. Aston Villa v Chelsea Highlights Video

19 minutes - Nicolas Anelka
Guus Hiddink took charge of his first Chelsea match at Villa Park with the league table having an unfamiliar look to it, Villa sitting 2 points ahead of the Blues in third
place.
Aston Villa boss Martin O’Neill would not have been pleased with some wasteful distribution from his team early on and it was little surprise that the deadlock was broken on 19 minutes by the visitors. A fabulous piece of skill from Frank Lampard, skipping between two defenders and a flicked pass, was matched by a cheeky chipped finish from Nicolas Anelka. Ashley Young nearly brought Villa level with a 25-yard free kick which rattled the underside of Petr Cech’s bar.
The second half saw Stiliyan Petrov deny John Terry on the line but Villa pressed
forward and only a spell of desperate Chelsea defending together with poor finishing from the home side kept the score at 1-0. The introduction of John Carew with twenty minutes to go failed to make the desired impact and Chelsea could have wrapped up the points with several good chances wasted but one was enough and Villa’s 13 match unbeaten run came to an end with Chelsea up to third.

Liverpool vs Chelsea Highlights Video
It does not get better than this as live premier league action on Sunday sees Chelsea visit Liverpool at Anfield in a game that could decide the latter's credibility as title challengers this season.
With just two wins in their last seven games, the Reds have faltered big time. Manager Rafa Benitez chose an inappropriate time to rant at Man United counterpart Sir Alex Ferguson. Ever since that outburst, Liverpool have struggled to string together some wins. Their last three games against Stoke City, Everton and Wigan Athletic have ended in draws leaving them struggling at the third spot on the league table behind Manchester United and Chelsea.

Chelsea's recent form has increased the pressure on manager Luiz Felipe Scolari with the Blues managing just three wins in their last 10 matches. Chelsea were made to fight for all the points in their three victories, with Bolton Wanderers, West Bromwich Albion and CFR Cluj putting up a brave fight until the final whistle.

31' Salomon Kalou Goal 1 - 0
90' 1 - 1 Goal Peter Clarke
League One minnows Southend stunned Chelsea with a stoppage-time equaliser to earn a deserved 1-1 draw and a third-round replay.
Salomon Kalou's first-half goal looked to have earned Chelsea a place in the next round until Peter Clarke headed an equaliser from close range in the 90th minute.
Chelsea had dominated the game but paid for a host of squandered chances by allowing an unmarked Clarke to beat Carlo Cudicini with a close-range header.
It was just reward for the Shrimpers who valiantly kept out Chelsea's wave of attacks in a pulsating second half.
But Chelsea's need for a first-class finisher was further underlined after an afternoon when they failed to kill off their lowly opponents.

Everton vs Chelsea
Everton clash against Chelsea in Monday night live Premier league action in a confident mood having clinched a 1-0 win against Manchester City last week. The Toffees won last week at Man City thanks to a lone goal from Tim Cahill. The win also allowed them to recover from a shock 3-2 loss to Aston Villa during the previous week. In that game Joleon Lescott looked to have grabbed a point for his side when he made it 2-2 in the last minute, but Ashley Young slotted in a stunning stoppage-time goal to leave Everton gasping.
Manager David Moyes admitted that the loss rankled, but added that the win at Man City made up for it and more importantly clinched three points for the Goodison park outfit that sees them occupy the 7th spot on the league table with 25 points from 17 games. Although several players including striker Louis Saha continue to be sidelined with injury, Everton have not dropped points and have registered consistent wins after a mixed start to the season.
